Li Ruobing’s figure was truly… too much.

August 29, 2026

Li Ruobing’s figure was truly… too much. She had the sort of body where everything fell exactly right, every proportion just so. And her skin was exceptional—smooth and lustrous as cream.

Lying on her side now in nothing but her underwear, one hand propping up her head, she looked like a work of art, a masterpiece of heaven’s own making.

From her expression Wu Chen could all but reconstruct the whole train of her thinking after she came in to change.

The dress had come off because she genuinely did need to change, and then she had thought of…

“Aren’t you afraid this little game of yours gets out of hand?” Wu Chen asked with a smile. He walked in, shut the door behind him, and came farther in, pulling off his tie and beginning to undress as he went.

“What are you doing?” She frowned at once.

“Aren’t you going to give me a massage? Hard to do through clothes, isn’t it?” he returned, grinning.

Her smile vanished entirely. She sat up and said darkly, “You’re so clever, my dear Mr. Wu. No fun at all.” She had meant to trap him, and he had seen through it at a glance.

“Stop playing. You can’t beat me at this.” Wu Chen smiled, deliberately provoking.

By then he had his jacket off and was still going.

“Oh? That confident?” Li Ruobing was suddenly smiling again. “I wonder whether my dear Mr. Wu has ever heard the saying, ‘Even a hero has trouble getting past a beauty.’ However capable you are, you still like me, don’t you?” Remarkably direct.

“Don’t you like me too? Does that really count as an advantage?” Wu Chen asked, amusement in it.

“Yes! I admit it. I like you! I can even say I’ve fallen in love with you!” She did not hedge in the slightest. That was simply her nature. If she disliked someone she disliked them; if she liked someone she liked them. There was nothing she could not say aloud, and the more she said the bolder she grew.

“There’s something about you that fascinates me. The way you think, the way you talk, what you can do—you fit every fantasy I’ve ever had about a partner for life. Your strength above all. And I can sense that what I’ve seen is only the tip of the iceberg. So I’ve decided I’m going to keep you in my grasp. If Su Qingying behaves, fine. If she doesn’t, then Su Qingying or not, I’ll make her admit defeat and bow out.

“But! My dear Mr. Wu, remember this. Even after I bear your children, I, Li Ruobing, will never become some docile little cat curled up in your arms. Quite the reverse. The one who ought to behave is you, Mr. Wu. Understood?”

The forcefulness bred into Li Ruobing’s bones showed itself entire in that moment.

She was not even afraid to let Wu Chen know exactly what she was thinking.

He had challenged her.

So she said all of it, and struck back.

Of course, she would only pour out that much in one breath because their relationship was now settled.

This was plainly an unconventional romance. Extremely unconventional.

But it was also what Wu Chen liked best about her. She was genuinely fascinating. The sense of achievement in conquering her completely was something no other woman could match.

Clap. Clap. Clap.

“Wow!” Wu Chen applauded, smiling at her. “What a speech! My dear Miss Li, you really do dare say anything. Well said. I wish you success.”

She smiled back without taking offense, and her smile was full of confidence.

She said nothing more. Hopping off the bed, she began undoing the buttons of his shirt for him.

There were small gestures in it—fingertips grazing his skin now and then.

Her eyes especially were teasing.

Soon.

Wu Chen lay facedown on Li Ruobing’s quilt in nothing but his boxer briefs while she sat astride his lower back and massaged him. This massage had nothing to do with the wager she had lost to him earlier. She was doing it of her own accord; he had not asked.

Nor had she decided to massage him out of nowhere.
